Weddings - wonderful events that they are, are so incredibly stressful for photographers; especially photographers (like myself) that do not have 'seconds' to come with them on wedding shoots. This means that the stress is all on one person to get the job done.
Frankly, I'm done with it. I love weddings, I love shooting weddings - as a second who can be a little less stressed about the event itself and focus on the photography and the joy of it.
With that being said, I will no longer be doing weddings except on a case by case basis depending on what the bride and groom would like, or if another photographer asks me to second on a wedding they have booked.
I have one beautiful daughter and another one on the way, and children have really become the inspiration for my photography. I love setting up infant, newborn, and kids photo shoots and I really have come to love the unexpectedness that can come with photographing children. I have done some research in Colorado Springs and I have discovered that there are only a couple children's photographers in town who do not rely solely on a studio but will take their pictures in a variety of locations. I am one of them.
Nature-inspired indoor and outdoor photo shoots that really capture the spirit of the children I am shooting. I love sculpting with natural light and using elements found from everyday life. Mixing antique furniture with bright colors and unique locations provides classic and whimsical pictures to savor for a life-time.
I can't wait to get started with my new muse, my daughter baby E.

Officially in Business
I am officially in business in Colorado Springs and serving the Springs and the greater Denver area. Time is running out for Christmas card photos! Book a session today!!
For a family photo have everyone wear something that is the same color. For instance all the men can wear a red tie or vest, all the women can wear a red bow, or hat, or red beads...etc. Having something small that is similar ties everyone together.

Colorado here we are!!
Well here we are in mountainous Colorado Springs; and I have to say it's about time! I'm still not up and running completely as a Colorado business. I need to figure out my business license requirements and get everything set up. Be that as it may I will be taking on clients starting in September or October and onward from there.
As a not so internet savvy person a friend of mine is building my photography business website for me! HOORAY FRIENDS! Website information will be posted as soon as the details are ironed out.
In the meantime enjoy your summer!

Moving to Colorado Springs!
Hello and Welcome!
Alexis Goff Photography is officially moving to Colorado Springs at the end of summer 2010. I am very excited to be moving to gorgeous Colorado and looking forward to meeting new clients and creating a wonderful photographic experience. Please join me in September for Fall Portrait Specials and for last minute specials on Senior Photos!
Tips for looking your best this summer in photographs:
If taking photos outside try to take them when there is diffused light (a cloud is covering the sun) or in the shade of a tree or building. You'll still get lots of natural light, but you won't get the glare
Put your body at a slight angle to the camera and put your weight on your BACK leg and foot. It will help you look slimmer. Don't forget to roll your shoulders back for better posture!
Try saying "money" it creates a much more natural looking smile compared to 'cheese'
Take photos before you are intoxicated! =)
Have a great summer! I look forward to meeting you in September in Colorado Springs

New Year, New Promotions
Welcome to Alexis Goff Photography. I am located (at present) in the greater Albuquerque Metro Area and would be thrilled to take your picture! Right now I am offering a Spring Special: $50 portraits for up to 6 people. This includes individual poses as well as group poses. I love to shoot out doors at the zoo, the aquarium, downtown, old town, in the park, or ask me to bring my portable studio to the comfort of your living room.
As I've stated in my previous post you pay me to take the photos. I'll post them on a secure gallery on Kodak Gallery and you'll be able to order or download from there. Please contact me with any questions or if you'd like to schedule a photo shoot.
I also shoot still life for advertisements, promotions etc...

Starting Off
Two years ago I started Alexis Goff Photography. It was my dream to take photographs that everyone could enjoy and everyone could afford. I love taking photographs...children, adults, pets, events, scenery, black and white. I love photography and I want to bring that to others.
Most Photographers and Photography Studios want you to order prints, lots of them, because that's where they make their profit. They'll charge you a smaller amount for a sitting fee, but then charge you $8.00 for a 4x6 photograph.
I don't work that way. You pay me to take the photos, do some editing, and upload them to Kodak Gallery, where you can view the photos, share the photos, order prints (for as low as 15 cents a picture). Those photos will be available to you as long as I'm in business, even if I move to different states; your photos will be safe and archived. Kodak Gallery also offers other products such as picture mugs, tote bags, photo books etc. This gives you a lot of reasonably priced options for your photos. By uploading photos onto Kodak Gallery I am able to keep my costs reasonably low.
